DRENCHABLE VITAMIN A & E FOR SHEEP

Maxivit for Sheep is an oral drench designed specifically for Sheep. Maxivit is best used as a supplemental form of Vitamin A and Vitamin E for Lambs and Sheep, on entry to feedlots and confinement feeding. Maxivit is also a valuable vitamin supplement that is ideal to use in dry periods and as a supplement prior to Joining, before lambing and at weaning.

It is commonly understood that sheep have a known requirement for specific nutrients, of which, Vitamins A and E are most commonly regarded as essential. During drought or extended seasonal periods of dry conditions, Vitamins A & E are the first 2 vitamins that need to be supplemented. Vitamins A and E play a vital role in sheep production, re production and health.
Maxivit contains a ready supply of nutrients with one simple low dose oral administration and has the added convenience of nil needle stick injury or carcass damage.

Maxivit supplies 2250 iu of Vitamin E in each 5ml adult dose and 500,000 iu of Vitamin A.
This amount serves not only for maintenance but production levels for an extended period of time.20-25 iu of Vitamin E are required each day for sheep. Oral dosing can elevate liver levels for 9 weeks.
Vitamin A is directly linked to Zinc (Zinc is required to release liver stores of Vitamin A) and is essential for:

Maintenance of growth and appetite

Prevention of Xeropthalmia and Blindness

Normal follicular development

Required for cell replication, epethilial entegrity and mucous secretion (antioxidant)

Enhancement of immune response system (Puls et al 1999)



A low level of Vitamin A can also lead to an increase in urinary calculi (bladder, kidney stones).

Maxivit comes in 2 convenient sizes, 2 ltr and 5 litre, our dosage recommendations are:

Lambs up to 6 weeks of age, 2.5 ml.
Lambs over 6 weeks of age and Adult Sheep, 5ml.

Maxivit is ideal for use in Rams and Ewes, at least 14 days prior to Mating and 4 weeks prior to Lambing.

Maxivit is a convenient, low dose, high specification, readily available supplement of Vitamin A and Vitamin E and should be used at 12 week intervals when required.
